StrokeViewer analyzes CT angiography when a stroke is suspected and sends an alert if it detects a blocked brain vessel. Images can be shared immediately with the regional treatment team. In an independent study, the system recognized 40 of the 42 large vascular occlusions. Smaller occlusions were more often missed, and there were also false alerts. The physician therefore always assesses the scan and the patient.
AI factor
The model can immediately pre-select a new scan and flag a possible urgent occlusion. Physicians review the result and decide on transfer and treatment.
