Rainforest Connection places listening devices in forest areas and offers Arbimon, a platform for large bioacoustic datasets. Models can recognize chainsaws, gunshots, or the call of a chosen species. Local partners receive targeted leads, but protection only occurs when they can safely verify and follow up on a report.
AI factor
The sensors continuously collect sound that humans cannot fully listen to. Models filter and classify relevant events; biologists train species models and rangers decide whether and how to respond on the ground.
