PATS uses cameras and computer vision to detect moths and other flying insects in greenhouses at an early stage. Depending on the application, the system helps collect crop data or deploys a small autonomous drone to eliminate a pest insect in a targeted manner. European project reports and practical case studies show its use at Dutch greenhouse horticulture businesses. The grower determines the control strategy and can thereby limit the use of broad-spectrum products.
