Pacmed Critical gives doctors and nurses in intensive care real-time predictions of the risk of death or readmission within seven days of discharge. The system was developed with ICU teams and supports their clinical judgment; the treating physician remains responsible for the decision. Pacmed works with Amsterdam UMC, Santeon hospitals and OLVG on application and validation.
AI factor
The AI combines current patient data into an explainable risk prediction. The ICU team evaluates that prediction together with the full medical context and makes the discharge decision.
