Myne
AI and robots sort aluminium scrap by alloy for higher-quality recycling.
About
Myne uses image recognition, AI and robots in Harderwijk to sort aluminium scrap by alloy. This allows the metal to be recycled at a higher quality instead of ending up in a mixed, less usable stream. The technology was developed with TU Delft and operates within an existing recycling plant.
AI factor
AI identifies which alloy is on the belt using sensors and image data; robots then sort the material. People design, operate and monitor the process and decide how the recovered metals are used.
