MedEye uses a 3D scanner and image recognition to compare tablets, capsules, and other medication with the digital prescription. Deventer Hospital introduced the system across the entire hospital; European project documentation describes independent pilots and rollout in multiple Dutch hospitals and elderly care facilities. The nurse remains responsible and uses MedEye as an additional check in the medication process.

AI identifies medication and compares it with the prescription. The nurse reviews the warning, assesses the situation, and remains responsible for administration.
