H2L Robotics — Tulip Selector
A Dutch robot that uses AI to identify sick tulips, enabling growers to intervene precisely.
About
H2L Robotics from Delft developed the Tulip Selector: an autonomous robot that scans tulips in the field with cameras and uses an AI network to recognize signs of disease. The robot can then apply targeted treatment. According to H2L, hundreds of Tulip Selectors operated on Dutch fields in 2025. The technology supports growers in precision agriculture; they determine the cultivation and treatment strategy.
AI factor
Image recognition analyzes images of individual tulips for signs of disease, and the robot performs a targeted action. The grower decides on its use, monitors the results, and remains responsible for the treatment.
