Ensitieto: health information in two languages
A Finnish chatbot makes health information more findable in Finnish and English and links back to the original sources.

Ensitieto, developed with HealthHub Finland EDIH, created an AI chatbot to make health information more accessible, especially for older people and those who do not speak Finnish. The chatbot draws on more than a thousand pages from its own and other trusted sources, answers in Finnish or English, and can point to the original sources. This makes it easier to find information without the chatbot replacing a doctor. The involved EDIH reports fewer repeated questions and a more accessible route to information. No independent research was found showing better health outcomes.
AI factor
The AI searches a defined collection of health information, gives short answers in the user's language, and shows where the information comes from.
