Aiosyn
Nijmegen AI pathology helps laboratories assess digital tissue biopsies faster and more consistently, including in cancer.
About
Aiosyn is a spin-off from the computational pathology group at Radboudumc. The software uses AI to inspect and characterize digital tissue images, measuring features that help pathologists in their assessment. Radboudumc implemented a quality control algorithm in clinical routine. Aiosyn is also developing applications for breast cancer and kidney diseases among others. The claim is modest: the software supports pathologists and can make analysis more consistent and efficient; ultimate responsibility for the diagnosis remains with the professional.
AI factor
AI recognizes patterns and quality problems in digital pathology images, supporting the pathologist.
